CAIRO - 31 July 2019: The Art House for Popular and Performing Arts, under the chairmanship of director Adel Abdo, will launch the play “Maktobli Aghanelak” for prominent writer Hassan Abdel Salam.

The play will be launched on Mohamed Abdel Wahab Theater in Alexandria on August 1. It is a comedy show that consists of numerous songs and dances.

Director of the play Abdel Moneim Mohamed said the play sheds light on the field of singing and music in recent years. It revolves around the older generation's rejection of what is being presented by the younger generations in singing and music. However, in the end, the two sides agree that the new generation's music best represents them, provided that they select appropriate lyrics that are deemed acceptable by society.

“Maktobli Aghanelak” (I am destined to sing for you) is the production of “Under 18” band, headed by artist Walid Taha. The play is starring Iman Bahr Darwish, Sherin, Safaa Galal, Wael Alaa, Mustafa Abdel Salam, Fathi Saad, Mahmoud Turki, Marwa Gamal, Mohamed Magdy, Zaki Lugo and Hamza Khater. It is written by Hassan Abdul Salam, and directed by Abdel Moneim Mohamed.
