4 steps to ensure acceptance in El Gouna platform accreditation

CAIRO - 28 July 2019: The activities of El Gouna Film Platform will take place from September 21 to 26. Applications are available on the festival’s website until Sept. 10.

Egypt Today presents the four steps to ensure acceptance of accreditation:

1 The following documents shall be submitted with the application for electronic submission which include a file of the institution at which the applicant is enrolled, a short biography and a personal photo. If the applicant is accepted, an electronic confirmation letter will be sent to the email address provided by the applicant in the application for accreditation.

2 Paying the admission fee which is $ 40 (LE 700). Fees can be paid at the time the credit is received.

3 The festival retains the right to refuse accreditation and applicants who are not accepted will be notified.

4 Accreditation is only usable by one individual.

El Gouna Platform aims to provide a creative space for people, and cinemas, and is an integral part of Gouna Film Festival. The platform is effective and directed to the film industry, created to develop and empower Arab filmmakers, and to assist them in finding the necessary technical and financial support.

El Gouna Film Platform offers two initiatives, “CineGouna Platform” and “Gouna Cinema Bridge”, which, in addition to financial awards, offer diverse learning opportunities through filmmaking workshops, panel discussions, round tables and lectures for industry experts.

El Gouna Film Festival grants US $ 175,000 to the winning projects in the development stage, and post-production films. The awards are provided by El Gouna Film Festival, its partners and sponsors.

The mission of El Gouna Film Festival is to showcase a diverse selection of films for a passionate and knowledgeable audience and to foster better communication between different cultures through the art of filmmaking.

Its goal is to connect filmmakers from the region with their international counterparts in the spirit of cooperation and cultural exchange through the presentation of the finest recent cinematic productions.

The festival is committed to the discovery of new voices and strives to be a catalyst for the development of Cinema in the Arab World, particularly through its industry segment, CineGouna Platform.
