CAIRO - 25 July 2019: On Wednesday, July 24, the Jesuit Cultural Center in Alexandria held a concert on the tunes of the Semsemia and Oud performed by Nagham el Bahr group.

The concert presented a traditional color of the Red Sea art and its history through performing different Red Sea Semsemia tunes that differ in style from the Semsemia tunes of the canal cities.

The concert also presented different artistic melodies related to the sea environment of the fishermen and the Arabs of the Eastern Desert inhabiting the valleys and mountains, where the sound of Oud and popular marine rhythms prevailed.

The Jesuit Center is an independent, non-profit organization established in 1959 inside the Jesuit Catholic Church in eastern Alexandria. The center is a platform for various artistic, cultural, social and literary fields offering a variety of cultural events and programs to enable young people to participate effectively in the development of society.
