CAIRO - 17 June 2019: Egyptian film “Ala el hafa” (On the edge) for Egyptian-Russian director Ashraf Abdel Baqi and producer Tarek el-Shimi received the first award in the Russian Film Festival focusing on war films and screenplays.

The film revolves around three girls who have been unknowingly recruited in ISIS before they start to think of a plan to escape. The episodes revealed the deceptive ways ISIS follow to recruit girls through fake preachers.

Tarek el-Shimi explained that 60 percent of the film's events were filmed in Egypt, particularly in the Green Belt area and Media Production City, and that the Russian television contracted with him after the film’s award to work together in future artistic projects to be filmed in Egypt.

The director of the film said that there is one representative from Egypt in the film’s cast, Ashraf Tolba, and the rest of the cast is from various nationalities, mostly from Russia.
