CAIRO - 12 May 2019: Thousands of citizens attended the opening of "Hal Hilalak" Ramadan tent organized by the cultural production sector on May 11 at Cairo Opera House.

The events began with a return to the artistic heritage through the wonderful works of late Salah Jahin and Sayed Mekkawi and the puppet show “El leila el Kebera” (the big night) directed by late Salah el-Sakka and produced by the Theater House. Following the puppet show, the children headed to the various workshops of drawing, coloring and creating lanterns for Ramadan to develop their artistic and creative abilities.

The Folklore Arts House presented shows of the national circus stars who presented a range of artistic performances that brought joy to the audience. The first night concluded with singing in the love of Prophet Muhammad and God, where vocalist Mahmoud el-Tohamy performed a series of Sufi recitals.
