Numerous stars vote in referendum on constitutional amendments

CAIRO - 21 April 2019: The National Electoral Commission, headed by Lashin Ibrahim, stated that the total number of public committees to vote on the referendum is 368 committees, including 108788 electoral centers and 13919 subcommittees.

Film Director Inas el-Degheidy voted in the referendum on the constitutional amendments at a preparatory school in Agouza. In addition, Bossi Chalabi voted in the referendum on constitutional amendments at the Sheikh Zayed High School for Girls in 6th of October city.

Folk singer Amina participated in the referendum on the constitutional amendments at her electoral committee in Zahra joint school in Mit Okba.

Furthermore, Gamal Abdel Nasser cast his ballot at the School of Intellectual Education in Haram. Gamal Abdel Nasser said after voting: "Go and participate, do the right thing, long live Egypt!"

In addition, actress Dina Ramez uploaded a photo after her participation in the referendum, showing her finger colored in red ink, commenting: "I did the right thing."

Actor Mahmoud Hemeda voted in the referendum on the constitutional amendments in Zaki Mubarak school in Nasr City. Hemeda’s fans were keen to take pictures with him after he completed his voting.

Actress Laila Ezz el-Arab also participated in the referendum of the 2019 constitutional amendments at her electoral committee at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Zamalek. The star was more than happy to take pictures with her fans after she completed the voting process.

The referendum is supervised by 19,339 judges (basic and reserve), of which 15,324 are actual judges at the ballot boxes and the rest are reservists. The number of staff assisting the judges in overseeing the referendum process is 120,000. The voting committees will be opened from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.until Monday April 22.
