CAIRO - 27 February 2019: The Cairo Symphony Orchestra will perform a concert led by Maestro Ahmed Saidi with the participation of Spanish pianist Rosalia Gomez at 8 p.m. in the Grand Theater at Cairo Opera House on March 2.

Italian Mezzo Soprano singers Ana Maria Shiori, Amr Medhat and Coral Acabella under the supervision of Maya Gefinaria will be among the participants.

The program includes selections from the dramatic symphony "Romeo and Juliet" by French composer Hector Berlioz which is inspired by the original play “Romeo and Juliet” by late legendary English writer William Shakespeare.

"Romeo and Juliet" is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare early in his career about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. It was among Shakespeare's most popular plays during his career along with "Hamlet", one of his most frequently performed plays.

William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright and actor, widely regarded as the greatest English writer and the world's greatest dramatist. He is often called England's national poet and the "Bard of Avon".
