CAIRO – 18 February 2019:In his new book "The trap", writer and journalist Mahmoud Basiouny sheds light on the link between the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood and international NGOs around the world.

Issued by Dar al-Hilal Publishing House, "The trap" explains how MB managed to offer themselves as alternatives to the weak, aging Arab regimes during 2011.

Basiouny suggested in his book possible theories on how the Muslim Brotherhood succeeded to find away into the human rights organizations within the MENA region, controlling and using them for their benefit.

The three main chapters titled: "How the MBs infiltrated human rights organizations," "Anarchism, MBs and Daesh," and "Human rights organizations ... Politicization and foreign financing" discuss the relation between human rights organizations, governments, intelligence agencies, and the MBs, highlighting how the MBs succeeded to spread misleading-information through their link to the aforementioned bodies.

The book also tackled the affect of MBs on youth and how they used them for promoting causes and political terms.

Basiouny says in his book that wars no longer need guns or weapons as they depend on more sophisticated methods nowadays such as media, human rights organizations and social media.

Basiouny is the editor in chief of Mobtada news website.
