CAIRO - 18 February 2019: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem is set to launch the new cultural palace in Aswan on Feb. 19.

The opening ceremony will be attended by Chairman of the General Authority for Culture Palaces Ahmed Awad and Governor of Aswan Ahmed Ibrahim, in addition to a number of leaders at the Aswan Cultural Palace.

The palace spans over 1480 square meters and consists of two floors. The ground floor includes a reception hall, a public library, IT hall, administrative rooms, rooms specified for actors and a 220-square-meter-theater consisting of 145 chairs.

The second floor features a drawing room and a children's activities hall.

The opening of the Aswan Palace of Culture comes within the framework of the Ministry of Culture's celebrations of the declaration of Aswan as the capital of African youth for 2019.
