CAIRO – 6 February 2019: Actress Yasmin Abdel Aziz has started filming her new series "Al-Maleka" (The Queen), which brings her back to the Ramadan drama marathon after a one-year hiatus.

Abdel Aziz plays the role of an interior designer married to actor Fathi Abdel Wahab. Actress Awatif Helmy will play the role of Yasmin’s mother, actor Mohamed Hashish will play the role of her father and Hind Abdel Halim will play the role of her sister.

The series is written by Amin Gamal, Abdullah Hassan and Tarek Kashef. “Al-Maleka” is directed by Hossam Ali and produced by Synergy.

The series is starring Yasmin Abdel Aziz, Fathy Abdel Wahab, Ahmad al-Awady, Ihab Fahmy, Mohammed Ezz, Hend Abdel Halim, and others.

Yasmin Abdel Aziz is an Egyptian actress. She started as a commercial model at the age of 15 as one of her mother's friends owned an advertising company. After a while, she had her TV debut in a series named "Emra'a mn Zaman el-Hob" (A Woman from The Time of Love) that achieved huge success across the Middle-East.

She achieved her second big success by appearing with comedian Ahmed Helmi in a romantic comedy named “Zaki Chan”.

Abdel Aziz participated in a movie with Ashraf Abdel Baki called “Rasha Gareea” in 2001 and another in 2005 with Mostafa Qamar named “Hareem Karim”, which talks about a broken hearted woman who thought that her husband cheated on her, while he tried to tell her the truth.

She also starred in drama movies like “Farhan Molazem Adam” and “Qalb Gariee”.
