CAIRO – 29 January 2019: The management of Zawya Short Film Festival revealed the schedule of the films participating in the fourth session, which will be held from January 31 to February 2.

The shows begin at 7 p.m. throughout the festival. Five films will screen within the festival’s program on the first day, including “Khoyout Zahabeya” (Golden lines), “Ana Rayha el-Cinema” (I'm going to the movies), and “Therae’e al-Momtada” (my long arm), among others.

On the second day, additional five films will screen, including “Cinema al-Ganoub” (Southside cinema), and “Al-Shams wa Zey al-Bahr” (the sun and my swimsuit).

Moreover, four films will screen on the festival’s third day, and winners will be announced during the festival's closing ceremony.

Zawya displays a wide selection of films from different parts of the world, including short films, documentaries, feature films and experimental work.

Zawya's program also includes theatrical releases and special events.

The festival's program relies mainly on local independent films, supporting and promoting young Egyptian and Arab filmmakers' work.

Zaywa aims to eventually grow into a series of cinema screens spread out across the country.

Paying special attention to the concept of education and cinema, Zawya develops strong educational programs in collaboration with schools and universities in Egypt.
