CAIRO-2 June 2017: Yesterday marked the 80th birthday of the Hollywood superstar Morgan Freeman. Egypt Today is celebrating this occasion by recommending eight of his many movies that no one should miss.

1- The Shawshank Redemption, 1994: This is one of the most iconic movies in the history of Hollywood. It is a crime-drama movie that was nominated for seven Oscars. Morgan Freeman received both Oscar & Golden Globe nominations for his role.

2- Se7en, 1995: This is one of the most famous mystery-drama movies in Hollywood. Co-starred by Brad Pitt, it's about the search of two detectives for a serial killer who takes the seven deadly sins as his motive to kill.

3- Million Dollar Baby, 2004: Directed and co-starred by Clint Eastwood, this is a sports-drama movie about a woman who embarks on a difficult journey to become a professional boxer. Freeman's amazing role won him his only Oscar for this movie.

4- The Bucket List, 2007: Co-starred by Jack Nicholson, this is an adventure movie about two terminally ill men who escape from their cancer ward in the hospital to go on a road trip and enjoy their lives before they kick the bucket.

5- Driving Miss Daisy, 1989: Winning 4 Oscars including the Best Picture, this is a drama about the relationship between an old Jewish woman and her African-American driver. Freeman Received an Oscar nomination and won a Golden Globe Award for his role in this movie.

6- RED, 2010: Nominated for Golden Globe's best motion picture for Comedy or Musical, this Bruce Willis movie is recommended to action movie lovers.

7- Last Vegas, 2013: This comedy movie has three Hollywood veterans: Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Michael Douglas. It's about four old friends who escape their daily routines to throw a bachelor party in Las Vegas for their last remaining single friend.

8- March of the penguins, 2005: This last recommendation is an exception as it's dedicated to the exceptionally attractive voice of Morgan Freeman. This is an Oscar winning documentary about an unusual wildlife tale narrated by the magical voice of Morgan Freeman which makes the story more interesting.
