CAIRO – 12 December 2018: Cairo Opera House, headed by Magdy Saber, in cooperation with the German Embassy, is organizing a tour for the Egyptian-German music band Cairo Steps, led by Maestro and pianist Sebastian Muller.

A total of three concerts will be performed in Alexandria, Damanhur and Cairo. The concerts will be held on Dec. 13 in Sayed Darwish theater in Alexandria Opera House, Dec. 14 in Damanhur Opera House and finally on Dec. 16 in Cairo Opera House's Grand Theatre.

Cairo Steps was established in 2002 by Egyptian oud player Bassem Darwish and German pianist and composer Matisse. The band achieved international fame under the leadership of pianist and Maestro Sebastian Müller due to his unique artistic style, which is based on mixing Egyptian oriental music with classical music, modern jazz and electronic sounds.

Muller has established a wide audience base through his concerts at the Egyptian Opera House since 2009 and has won the admiration of the audience and critics worldwide.

Cairo Steps pursues the vision of crossing cultural, political and religious borders and building bridges between different cultures.
