Global Migration Film Festival - Facebook

The Global Migration Film Festival kicked off on November 28 at the Swiss Office for International Cooperation.

Organized by the International Organization for Migration in collaboration with Switzerland's Embassy in Egypt, the festival's opening ceremony witnessed the premiere of two short movies which are "Offside" and "Abu Adnan".

"It is definitely through films that we can capture the challenges of migration for those who left their homes in search for a better life, highlighting the contributions they necessarily make to the hosting communities," Swiss Ambassador H.E. Paul Garnier said.

Global Migration Film Festival, which will run until December 18, selected a group of short movies that reflect all issues related to migration. These movies will be available for the audience without tickets. Egypt Today provides its readers with schedules of movies showing in Cairo and Alexandria.
