CAIRO – 24 November 2018: Haitham al-Haj, head of the General Egyptian Book Organization, declared that 100 new books will be published under the organization’s name in Cairo International Book Fair's 50th round.

The fair is set to take place on Jan. 23, 2019 in the Egyptian International Exhibition Centre in the Fifth Settlement district.

Haj told Youm7 that numerous other publications will be displayed beside the 100 new books for the golden jubilee. One of the most significant publications to be introduced in the book fair is “The Seven Pillars of the Egyptian Identity” by late veteran writer and thinker Milad Hanna. The book will also be translated to foreign languages beside Arabic.

“The Seven Pillars of the Egyptian Identity” consists of 176 pages and revolves around the different personalities in the Egyptian community and the main seven pillars found in the Egyptian persona from the writer’s point of view.

The book also clarifies how different sectors of the Egyptian society prefer to belong to the Pharaonic civilization, whereas other sectors prefer to belong to the Arabic and Islamic civilizations.

Hanna’s other significant books are “Acceptance of the Other”, “Towards a Brighter Millennium” and “Yes Coptic – But Still Egyptian”. The author, writer and political thinker, died at the age of 88.
