CAIRO – 14 November 2018: Veteran singer, Ali el-Haggar, concluded on Tuesday the 27th edition of the Arab Music Festival at Alexandria Opera House.

Haggar’s performance was led by maestro Mohammed al-Mughi, and included a collection of his most famous songs like “In the Heart of the Night”, “Please Take Care” and “Here is Cairo”.



On the same night, veteran Lebanese singer and soprano Majida el-Roumi concluded the festival at the Cairo Opera House. Roumi’s performance was led by Egyptian maestro, Nader Abbasi.



The 27th Arab Music Festival was named after Egyptian singing and acting icon, Shadia, and ran between November 1 and November 13. The event hosted 43 concerts in seven different halls in Cairo, Alexandria, Damanhur and Tanta.

According to Opera House President Magdy Saber, 72 musicians from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Iraq, Lebanon, Bahrain and Jordan participated in this year's edition.

Among the participants were Hani Shaker, Medhat Saleh, Iman el-Bahr Darwish, and Mohamed Tharwat from Egypt, Assi el-Helani, Wael Jassar and Ramy Ayach from Lebanon, in addition to Tunisian singer Saber Rebaï and Kuwaiti singer Nawal.
