CAIRO – 1 November 2018: In continuation of the series of initiatives launched by celebrities on social media to combat breast cancer and raise awareness against it, famed Lebanese TV host Raya Abirached took on a new initiative against cancer, labeled “Beet it”.
"Beet it" is founded by Pure Heart 4 Cancer foundation, and was launched on Oct. 31 in-parallel with the end of the global month of raising awareness against breast cancer.
The famed TV host uploaded a video on her official Instagram account, drinking beet juice, and inviting TV presenter Nardin Faraj and Egyptian actress Mona Zaki to take on the challenge and join her in drinking the healthy juice.
In the same context, actress Mona Zaki later commented on her official Instagram account “I accepted the “beet it” challenge from Nardin Faraj; we are currently in the end of the month of October, the month to raise awareness against breast cancer.Encourage women and try it out yourself! I decided to challenge Jamila Awad and Carin Fahmy.”
The “beet it” challenge requires filming a short clip while drinking beet juice. Beet juice is known for beating cancerous cells that may reside in the body. The uploader of the video has to challenge three of their personal friends to join the challenge.
