AIFF releases names of participating films

CAIRO – 4 October 2018: Alexandria International Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries released the names of the participating films in the festival’s 34th edition that is set to be held from Oct. 3 to 8, 2018.
A total of 11 films from eight different countries will participate in the festival's 34th edition.
The movies are as follows:
• Syrian movie “Damascus-Aleppo”, starring Duraid Laham and Maha al-Masry. The movie is directed by Basel al-Khatib.

• Tunisian movie “Mostafa Zid”, starring Abdel Mounim Showayat and directed by Nedal Shata. The movie was granted numerous awards in several festivals such as the Carthage Film Festival.

• Palestinian movie “Ketaba Ala el-Thalg” (Writing on Ice), starring Amro Wakid and Ghassan Masoud, and directed by Rasheed Mesh-harawy.

• Jordanian movie “Nafezat Salam” (Peace Window), which is the first directing experience for Hamad Negm, starring Ghalia Abdel Kareem al-Jarrah.

• Emirati movie “Ashek Amouri” (Amouri Lover), directed by Amr Salmeen

• Tunisian movie “Hams el-Maa” (Water Whispers), which is late director Al-Tayeb al-Wahishi's last movie.

• Morrocan movie “Samt el-Farashat” (Silence of the butterflies), directed by Hamid Baskit.

• Syrian movie “Rose” starring Suzan Negm

• Lebanese Movie “Al-Shaheed” (The Martyr), directed by Mazen Khaled

• Algerian Movie “Zues”
