AIFF Advisory Committee Exposes Festival’s Program in its 34th Edition

CAIRO – 21 September 2018: The advisory committee of the Alexandria International Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries have inaugurated the presence of over 30 individuals pertaining to Egypt’s film industry.

The convention took place prior to the launch of the festival’s 34th edition, which will resume during 3-8 October 2018. This year’s festival will be held under the name of late veteran actress Nadia Lotfy.

The convention tackled important details pertaining to the festival this year, which the festival’s committee shed the light on during the discussions.

Critic and president of the festival Amir Abaza revealed the festival program, highlighting its importance as the 50th anniversary of modern cinema.

Moreover, late artists such as Leila Mourad, Mohamed Fawzy, Gamal Abdel Nasser and others will be honored for the 100th anniversary since their passing.


Those present in the convention include Aly Badrakhan, Ali Abdel-Khalek, Hany Lasheen, Samir Seif, Daoud Abdel Said, Ahmed Yehia, Bashir El Deek, Walid Saif, Mostafa Moharam, Nasser Abdel Rahman and many others.

The Alexandria International Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries (AIFF) is a film festival in Egypt organized by the Egyptian Association of Film Writers and Critics (EAFWC). The AIFF aims to broaden film culture and strengthen the relationship between filmmakers throughout the world, with special attention given to Mediterranean countries.
