CAIRO – 13 September 2018: Egyptian Ambassador to France and Egypt's permanent representative in the UNESCO, Ehab Badawy, praised the cultural co-operation between Egypt and France which reflects the solid ties between the two states.

This came as part of Badawy's statement about the show that was performed by the Egyptian Opera House Group for legendary late singer Om Kalthoum in the Institute of the Arab World in Paris.

The show was attended by Egyptian Minister of Culture Enas Abdel Dayem and numerous officials representing several Arab and western entities in Paris.

Badawy revealed that both governments are keen on deepening mutual cultural cooperation. The Egyptian-French cultural year 2019 is going to hold a lot of surprises; a special cultural program will be set to reflect the scientific, historical, cultural and artistic cooperation between the two countries.

Egyptian Minister of Culture, Abdel Dayem, travelled to France on September 12, 2018, to attend the different shows performed by the Arabian Orchestra and other groups. The minister is also expected to meet with several French officials during her visit, including the mayor of Montpellier.
