CAIRO – 10 September 2018: Cairo opera house will host a concert on the occasion of the 25th anniversary since the death of late musical composer Baligh Hamdi and the 35th memorial of late singer Fayza Ahmed.


The event will be held on September 13 and 14, with parallel events held at the Damanhour Opera House Theatre and the Said Darwish Theatre in Alexandria.


The concert will be headed by Maestro Abdel Hamid Abdel Ghaffar, along with violin soloist Ihab Abdel Hamid.


The program of both concerts will consist of a package of the best songs ever performed and composed by the late artists, such as “Khasara” (Loss) and “Sawah” (Tourist).


The second part of the concert will be specialized for the violin soloist Abdel Hamid Abdel Ghaffar, who will perform covers of mid-century songs, such as “Zy Elhawa” (Similar to Love) by late Abdel Halim Hafez and “Oyoun Baheya” (Baheya’s Eyes) by late artist Ahmad Ragab.
