CAIRO - 25 May 2017: A potential protocol will be signed between Egypt and Yemen to allow the exchange of expertise, organize programs that will teach heritage preservation to Yemeni workers in the archeological field and assist in finding smuggled Yemeni artifacts, according to a Tuesday statement by the Ministry.

The Egyptian Antiquities Minister Khaled El-Anany discussed methods to preserve Yemeni heritage with Yemeni Culture Ministry Marwan El-Damaj, the statement added.

Egyptian archeological experts will be able to transfer heritage preservance knowledge and experience to their counterparts in Yemen.

Approximately 13 Yemeni artifacts were found by the Egyptian antiquities counterpart and returned to Yemen previously.
