CAIRO – 28 August 2018: The 10th edition of the Cairo International Jazz Festival is set to run from October 11 - 14 at the American University’s Theatre in the 5th settlement.

The program will consist of 17 musical shows from 14 different countries, including Holland, Austria, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Hungary and Portugal.

Amro Salah, pianist and president of the Cairo International Jazz Festival, stated to Youm7 that the main target of the festival is to present an international musical and cultural event that contributes to boosting tourism by inviting international super stars to participate in the event.

The festival also aims to promote jazz music locally and to expose Egyptians to other musical varieties.

According to Salah, Syrian Jazz performer Lynn Adib, Portuguese singer Rita Maria, and Austrian David Holbok are among the most significant performers participating in the festival.

It is worth noting that several Egyptian and Jordanian jazz groups will be performing in the festival, but their names are yet to be revealed.
