CAIRO – 15 August 2018: In its final week, events for the 16th round of the International Summer Festival started on Aug. 14, sponsored by the Housing and Development Commercial Bank for the second year in a row. The closing ceremony of the festival is expected to be held on Aug. 18.

Moreover, singer Nesma Abdel Aziz’s concert is scheduled for Wednesday Aug. 15; the star’s band, Nesma Group, will present and perform during the performances with the singer.

Abdel Aziz represented Egypt in numerous festivals with her personal band. The star was granted the National Arts Encouragement award recently by the government for her unique performances in many previous events.

Aug. 16 will witness the concert of the veteran singer Iman el-Bahr Darwish, for the 100th anniversary of the 1919 revolution. Numerous artists affiliated with local music band such as; West El Balad and Masar Egbary among many others will perform hit singles on stage.

Folk poet Hisham Algakh is going to perform his most popular poetic pieces on stage. The famed poet is going to perform his poetry on stage for the first time alongside a musical band.

Moreover, musical compositions and recitals are expected to be performed by Sama’e group.

Singer Carmen Sulleiman will perform in the festival’s closing ceremony, in which she will perform a selection of her best songs along Syncope Orchestra lead by George Kolta.
