CAIRO – 14 August 2018: Salah el-Din Citadel International Festival for Music and Singing resumes the events of its 27th round as two special shows are expected to be held today, Aug. 14.

Al-Noor Wal Amal orchestra is expected to perform at 8 p.m. on the Mahka 1 Theatre in Salah el-Din Citadel, with Maestro Mohamed Sa’ad Basha being in the lead.

The show is going to include the most significant Arabic and international musical compositions such as “Hungarian Dance No.5” by Johannes Brahms, “The Russian and Chinese Dance” by Tchaikovsky and “Yamama Helwa” (Beautiful Pigeon) by Abu-Bakr Khairat, among others.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Noor Wal Amal is the only orchestra in the world that consists of blind girls who amazed the world with their performances in several events as they were able to perform on musical instruments without being able to read the musical notes.

Al-Noor Wal Amal is originally an organization that supports blind women in Egypt. The blind women adopted by the organization created an orchestra and amazed the world in numerous concerts in which the ladies' performance left the audience stunned.

The special event in Salah el-Din Festival is a great humanitarian initiative to raise the talented blind ladies' spirit and provide them with the support they deserve.
