CAIRO - 16 May 2017: American actor Johnny Depp will be the star of "King of the Jungle", a dark comedy about the life of John McAfee, the famous Silicon Valley inventor of the McAfee Antivirus software.

Based on a 2012 article by Joshua Davis published in Wired magazine. McAfee, cashed in his fortune, left the world behind him and moved to the jungle in Belize.

King of the Jungle will be directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, and written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski.

The distribution rights will go on sale at the Cannes.

Johnny Depp’s latest movie "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" is expected in theaters on May 26.
