CAIRO – 16 May 2015: Cairo Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Ahmed el-Saedi will perform in Vienna, capital of Austria, in a tour during which they will perform two concerts, said the Egyptian state-owned news agency MENA on Monday.

The first concert will be held on Wednesday night, in “Musikverein” theatre in Vienna, one of the most renowned music halls in the world and the headquarters of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the oldest and most prestigious international orchestras.

The delegation heading to Austria will be headed by Dr. Ines Abd el-Dayem, head of the Cairo Opera House.

On Thursday night, the second concert will take place on the stage of “Mozart” hall in Salzburg city.

The orchestra's tour comes at, “the invitation of one of the musical institutions in Austria in cooperation with the Egyptian Philharmonic Society, in order to activate the role of soft power represented in arts to promote Egypt globally,” said Abd el-Dayem.
