CAIRO – 17 April 2018: The 17th edition of Mawazine International Festival will run from June 22 to 30, 2018; the famous Moroccan music festival has already attracted about 2.4 million people.

This edition will host a notable group of Arab and International singers such as Mohamed Hamaky, Nancy Ajram, Ahmed Sheiba, Kathem al Saher, Bosy, Saber el Rebai, among others. The last edition took place in different theatres of Rabat and Salé, and a large number of singing stars in the Arab and the European world participated, including great French singer Charles Aznavour, who performed the first concert of the festival.

Aznavour is considered one of the greatest French singers. In 1998, CNN dubbed Aznavour the “artist of the century”.

Mawazine is a worldwide music festival that takes place annually in the Moroccan city of Rabat.

Many international artists patriciate in the festival every year, that’s why it is considered the second biggest music festival in the world; Donauinselfest in Vienna being the biggest.

The festival is headed by Mounir Majidi, the personal secretary of the Moroccan king Mohammed VI.
