CAIRO- 27 April, 2017: The award-winning Egyptian novelist Mohamed Rabie participates in Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which started on 26th April and lasts till 2nd May.

Mohamed Rabie, 38, wrote three novels; the first one, Kawkab Anbar (Amber Planet), came out in 2010, and earned the first prize in the Emerging Writers category of the Sawiris Cultural Award competition in 2011. Otared (Mercury), his third and most famous novel, was published in 2015, and was shortlisted for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction last year. Otared is a futuristic dystopian novel, the incidents of which take place in Cairo in 2025.

Rabie takes part in the discussion about the role of the literary editor on Sunday at 5.30 p.m. at Al-Multaqa literary salon in the fair, which takes place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.
