CAIRO – 23 February 2018: Egyptian artist Nihal Wahby will be showcasing her paintings in an exhibition titled “Lucid Realms” at the Hanager Arts Centre in Zamalek, Cairo, starting from February 21 until March 3.

The opening ceremony for “Lucid Realms” featured acclaimed Egyptian artist Adam Henein in attendance.

Born, raised and working in Cairo, Wahby employs traditional mediums such as painting and drawing but aims to explore new methods of media that complement the unique vision for each project. Her themes explore the concepts of identity and self-awareness as she explores the relationship between virtual and physical reality. She was mentored by artist and writer Hassan Soliman, who guided her through her early development, and Wahby is now a member of the Egyptian Fine Art Syndicate.

Wahby has also studied at the Central Saint Martin School of Art in London in order to improve her understanding of international art. Outside of art, she has also served as a curator and has exhibited the works of various Egyptian artists since 1997.
