CAIRO – 1 January 2018: The famous Egyptian actor Amr Youssef will start shooting his Ramadan 2018 soap opera "Tayea" on January 20.
The series takes place in Upper Egypt.
"Tayea" also stars Amr Abdel Gelil, Salwa Mohamed Aly and the famous Jordanian actress Saba Moubarak, among others. The series is written by Mohamed Diab and directed by Amr Salama.
"Tayea" is the first soap opera for Salama who directed a group of successful movies, such as "Sheikh Jackson", "Asmaa" and "La Mo’akhza" (Excuse Me), among others. "Tayea" is expected to be a high quality soap opera and is awaited by a wide range of Arab audience, who are eager to watch the collaboration between Salama, Diab and Youssef as the three are famous for their creative work.
It is worth mentioning that "Awalem Khafia" (Hidden Worlds) and "Tayea" soap operas are set to be released in Ramadan 2018, and will screen on Saudi TV.

Magnoum Production Company, the producer of the two series signed a contract with Saudi TV to screen "Awalem Khafia" and "Tayea" exclusively; where the Saudi TV will be the only TV in the Arab world to screen the series, besides the Egyptian TV of course.

"Awalem Khafia" stars the one and only mega star Adel Emam. Khaled Ahmed Madkhaly, the head of Saudi TV, previously expressed his happiness during a press conference – held to announce the agreement details – that the Saudi TV will air these two important soap operas during Ramadan 2018.
