AUC’s Falaki Theatre to host crime/thriller ‘Diamond Dust’

CAIRO – 22 December 2017: The American University in Cairo's Falaki Theater will hold a rendition of “Diamond Dust”, an adaptation of the novel by Ahmed Mourad, best know as the author of “The Blue Elephant”.

The play’s themes include crime, politics, social issues and the justification of violence. “Diamond Dust” is the story of medical sales representative Taha El-Zahar, whose life changes after finding his brutally murdered father’s journals . He uncovers mysteries about his father, who turns out to have been a vigilante.

Ahmed Hamad directs and stars as Taha in the play, with other performances by Islam Ahmed, Taha Zaghloul, Yousry Ibrahim and Menna Wagi.

The play will run for five days – December 22, 23, 29, 30 and 31.
