CAIRO – 21 December 2017: Egyptian independent singer and composer Rania Shaalan will hold her final performance for 2017 at Bab 18 Art Space on December 29.

With a career spanning 13 years, Shaalan is one of Egypt’s underground music icons. She previously shared a stage with Grammy Award winner Fathy Salama. In addition, she composes music for various Salah Jaheen and Ahmed Foad Negm poems.

With various musical influences, including classic rock, operas and jazz, Shaalan aims to produce her definitive musical style and employ impressive instruments.

Her most celebrated songs are “Bahlam” (I Am Dreaming), “Enta Feen” (Where Are You) and “Namlah” (Ant).
