Young Pianist Ahmed Radwan to launch piano recital in Cairo

CAIRO – 20 December 2017: pianist Ahmed Radwan who is also a member of the Egyptian Pink Floyd tribute band “Paranoid Eyes” will be performing a piano recital as part of “Karaoke” night on Saturday at Bab 18 Art Space.

The track list for the night consists of mostly American and English rock songs, which are the specialty of Radwan’s cover band. The 25-song list includes tracks by the widely famous progressive English band Pink Floyd. Paranoid Eyes tend to focus on performing covers for only Pink Flyod.

Radwan is a graduate of Sherouk University and a professional pianist. Aside from his work with the band Paranoid Eyes, Radwan also works as a music teacher. Bab 18 Art Space is a workspace and arts and culture venue that hosts workshops, galleries, and music performances.


Paranoid Eyes is one of the successful tribute rock bands in Egypt. It was formed in 2015, and it performed a number of successful shows at Room Art Space and Café, Madar and Darb 1718.

The band doesn’t only perform covers Pink Floyd music, in addition to some compositions by Roger Waters and David Gilmour.

The band consists of Wissam Sultan on guitar and vocals, Ahmed Radwan on keyboards and background sound effects, Ramy Nabil on rhythm guitar, Waleed Shabaan on drums and backing vocal and Bassem abo Arab on bass guitar.


Other bands included in the track list are the American rock ‘n’ roll band “Aerosmith”, the popular American rock band Coldplay and the legendary English classic rock band The Beatles. Egyptian songs on the list include Sherine Abdel Wahab’s “Masha’er” (Feelings) and Amr Diab’s “W Malo” (So What).
