CAIRO – 19 December 2017: Hit TV comedy "The Office” might be rebooted with an all new cast on NBC, according to sources at TVLine and The Hollywood Reporter.

TVLine confirmed that the idea for an Office revival was something on the wish-list for NBC's Chairman Bob Greenblatt and the successful reboot of Will & Grace has only fuelled speculation that the idea might see some traction in 2018.

“The Office” originally starring Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Mindy Kaling and more, revolves around the awkwardly humorous daily interactions of the employees at a fictional paper sales company. Running for nine seasons, the show was adapted from a British comedy series starring Ricky Gervais and was written and produced by Greg Daniels, who are reportedly on-board for the reboot.

Carrel, who left during the seventh season but returned for the finale, will not be involved if plans to go forward with the reboot.
