CAIRO – 12 December 2017: Quirky director Wes Anderson’s latest film "Isle of Dogs" will premiere world-wide at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival on February 15, 2018.

Set in a futuristic Japan, "Isle of Dogs" is the story of pilot Atari Kobayashi, 12 year old son of the corrupt Mayor Kobayashi, who issues a decree that all dogs are to be banished from Megasaki City, following an outbreak of ‘Dog flu’.

The pets are condemned to live in a vast garbage dump known as Trash Island. Desperate to find his best friend and bodyguard, Spots, Atari is accompanied by a pack of dogs on his search, while his evil father aims to stop him.

The film’s cast features the talents of Bill Murray, Yoko Ono, Scarlett Johansson, Bryan Cranston, Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum and many more. "Isle of Dogs" opens in theaters on March 23, 2018.

Anderson is a six-time Oscar nominee who is best known for his quirky and original works, such as "Fantastic Mr Fox" (2009), "Moonrise Kingdom" (2012), "The Grand Budapest Hotel" (2014) and "The Royal Tenenbaums" (2001).
