CAIRO – 4 December 2017: The Egyptian play "El-Tagroba" (The experiment) will participate in Carthage Theatre Days Festival, which is set to kick off on December 8.

The idea of the play revolves around the famed German character Kaspar Hauser, who lived in a miniscule vault isolated from others. He grew up without properly learning the simplest human actions such as speaking, walking, recognition, and hearing.

The play stars Mohamed el-Hagrassy, Kholoud Eissa, and Islam Awad, among others.
Written by Peter Handaka and directed by Ahmed Ezzat, "El-Tagroba" previously participated in the 24th edition of the Cairo International Festival for Contemporary and Experimental Theatre (CIFCET), which ran from September 19 to 29.

It is worth mentioning that Carthage Theatre Days Festival management decided to honour renowned Egyptian star Mohamed Sobhy. Sobhy has an influential theatrical repertoire that includes many successful plays, such as "Al-Joker" (The Joker), "Al-Hamagy" (The Barbarian), "Weghet Nazar" (A Point of View), and "Carmen," among others.
