CAIRO – 2 December 2017: Egyptian journalist and author Kareem Farghaly will sign his first book “Al Cinema Wa El Raqs Aala El Hebal El Mashdoda” (Cinema and Dancing on Thin Ropes) at Alef bookstore, Mohandessen, on December 6, 2017.

The book investigates the most celebrated conflicts between filmmakers and anti-cinema thinkers such as the conflict that broke out after Yossif Wahby declared his intention to play the role of Prophet Mohamed, and Youssif Shahin’s biographical film about Prophet Youssef.

Farghaly utilizes his attractive narrative style and deep analysis to focus on cinema evaluation and questions why no Egyptian films have won an Oscar Award.
