Through his exhibited artworks, Dafrawy sheds the light on the irony of The Elephant. Despite its huge size, it is gentle and kind.

“I like to lose myself in front of the canvas hoping to regain composure; this practice is what helps me reach a new result each time,” Dafrawy explained in a press statement issued by Al Kahila Art Gallery.

Born in 1982, Dafrawy managed to be one of the most ambitious rising contemporary artists in Egypt due to his outstanding usage of colors and symbols.

He participated in different exhibitions and was awarded Prince Nouf award at a drawing competition in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia back in 1993.
