CAIRO – 8 November 2017: Egyptian monodrama, “The Farewell Song”, will stage on November 30 at Osiris, a independent arts council for production and training center.

Winning first place at the El Sakia Monodrama Festival 2017 at El Sawy Culture Wheel, “The Farewell Song” is performed and directed by Rimon Khalil.

Inspired by the legendary Russian author Anton Chekhov’s “The Swan’s Song”, the story revolves around an old theater performer who falls asleep in a theater following his performance. He spends the night recalling memories and the failures of his personal life as he waits for the old man who has the theater key.

A prestigious theater actor and director, Rimon Khalil has participated in more than 30 theatrical performances such as “Mat El Malek” [The King is Dead], “Hamlet”, “El Hob El Haraam” [The Forbidden Love] and “Ana El Ra’ees” [I Am the President] throughout his 25-year career.
