CAIRO – 7 November 2017: The 10th Panorama of the European Film will screen “Une Vie Violente” (A Violent Life), on Thursday, November 16, in association with Egypt’s French Institute.

Directed by Thierry De Peretti, "Une Vie Violente" (2017) is an examination of the dangerous path to political activism and the tragedy that can follow when one is not prepared. Here, Stephane decides to visit the island of Corsica in order to attend the funeral of a friend, a dangerous move as he is wanted by local gangsters in the island for his involvement as a political radical. Stephane begins to dwell on the events that lead him, an educated French student, into becoming an underground political activist.

The 10th Panorama of the European Film

will run between November 8 and November 18. This edition will witness an expansion in film screenings in more governorates such as Port Said, Ismailia, and Mansoura among others.
