CAIRO – 4 November 2017: As part of the Panorama of European Film at Zawya, in association with Coffee Tree Cafe, the biographic German/French drama film “The Young Karl Marx” (2017) will be screening on November 10.

Set in 1844, the film follows the early days of the revolutionary founder of Marxism, Karl Marx, played by August Diehl, as he travels with his wife Jenny (Vicky Krieps) and encounters his future friend and co-author Friedrich Engels. Spanning through Paris, Brussels and London, the film highlights the years leading up to the publishing of Marx’s groundbreaking writing, even amongst all the oppression and political upheavals of the time.

“The Young Karl Marx” was released on March 2, 2017 in Germany.
