Renowned film director Samir Seif to teach about film techniques

CAIRO – 4 November 2017: Renowned film director Samir Seif will be heading a film directing workshop at Garden City’s Osiris on Sunday.

The workshop will explain the relationship between cinema directing elements and artistic tools used in producing dramatic films, including the process of capturing the scenes, film configuration, cinematic snapshots and usage of suitable camera lenses.

A graduate from the High Cinema Institute, Seif is one of the legendary directors in the Middle East. He pursued his film career as an assistant for a number of leading directors, such as Shady Abdel Salam and Youssef Chahine.

He directed various successful films, such as “Gharib fi Baity” [Stranger at my Home], “Al Namr Wa El Ontha” [The Tiger and the Female], and “El Raqesa Wi El Seyasy” [The Belly Dancer and the Politician].

Seif also worked on a number of series such as “Awan El Ward” [Time of the Rose] and “Nour Al Sabah” [Daylight].
