20 countries to participate in Tanta’s Poetry Festival

CAIRO – 29 October 2017: The third Tanta International Festival will witness the participation of 20 countries in its third edition that will run between October 28 and October 30.

Participants include Arabic countries such as Egypt, Morocco, Iraq, and Lebanon, in addition to many European and Latin American countries such as France, Turkey, Malta, Spain and the Netherlands.

The festival kicked off on Sunday under the theme of “Tanta, Our Beloved Hometown”. Many Egyptian officials attended the opening such as Gharbiya Governor Ahmed Daif Saqr and the director of the General Organization for Cultural Palaces Ashraf Amer.

The festival is in cooperation between the Ministry of Culture, Tanta University and Bibliotheca Alexandrina alongside with other official cultural institutions.
