Pink Floyd tribute band to perform at El Sawy Culture Wheel

CAIRO – 28 October 2017: Egyptian Pink Floyd tribute band Andromida, will perform live at El Sawy Culture Wheel on November 26. The concert is part of a the band’s new tour called “Try to Catch the Sun.”

The tour’s name is inspired by Pink Floyd’s “Remember a Day.”

Andromida performed a number of concept concerts this year such as “The Nights of Wonders” and “I can See you from Here”.

The Egyptian band will perform more than 20 songs in this concert including “Remember a Day,” “Wish You Were Here,” “High Hopes,” “Speak to Me,” “Time” and “Eclipse,” among others, according to the event’s official Facebook page.

Andromida’s tour will also include a concert at Bibliotheca Alexandria.

The band consists of vocalists Amr Hassan on keyboards, Ally Salem on guitar, Ahmed Anwar on bass guitar and Sherif al-Sharqawi on drums.

The band has previously

performed

in Cairo Opera House in an opening of Andromida’s tour, “the Nights of Wonder.” “The theme of the tour is taken from “High Hopes” by Pink Floyd,” Hassan previously told Egypt Today
