CAIRO – 27 October 2017: Egyptian film “Khareg El Khedma” (Out of Order) (2015) will screen at cinema outlet El Bawaba Documentary on Tuesday, followed by a film discussion in Dokki.

Directed by Mahmoud Kamel, the drama film revolves around a young drug addict played by Egyptian film actor Ahmed El Fishawy, who pursues a close relationship with an old widow played by Egyptian actress Shereen Reda.

Fishawy plays the role of an addict who lives in a desperate and homeless life, while Reda plays the role of a widow who lives a sad miserable life alone in her house.
The film has participated in various festivals such as Solito Film Festival, Solo Road Film, Light House Film, and Split Film Festival.

The film has also received the Best Director Award at the Romanian Brasov Film festival, according to the event’s official page.

A graduate from the Chemistry department, Kamel decided to pursue his career in filmmaking and enrolled in the High Institute of Cinema. He received a state award in his early career and later pursued his filmmaking studies at the Arts Academy in Italy.

He directed well known films such as “Mekano,” “Adraneline,” “Ezbet Adam” (Adam’s Manor), and “Haflet Montasef El Leil” (Midnight Party).

Ahmed El Fishawy has recently played the protagonist in “Sheikh Jackson” by film director Amr Salama that was recently released. The film recorded LE 4 million ($226,629) in the first 10 days of its display in Egyptian cinemas.

The controversial film revolves around the death of music icon Michael Jackson.

Fishaway plays the role of a student who loves Michael Jackson's music and imitates the pop star’s performances, yet struggles between his passion for music and his strong relationship with Salafism. Upon Jackson’s death, the student has grown older to become an Imam or Sheikh and subsequently goes on an inner Salafi quest to seek answers to his existential questions.

The film has received its first ever premiere at the Toronto Film Festival 2017 in the Special Presentations category and has been nominated for the 90th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.
