The orchestra will impressively perform modern remixed versions of modern jazz giants’ compositions such as Louis Armstrong, Duck Ellington and Chick Corea, and will be conducted by Mohamed Saad Basha.

Canada’s Embassy in Egypt collaborated with Cairo Opera House in organizing the event.

Jazz music emerged in the USA after slavery abolition in 1863. The freed slaves’ heritage of songs, music, and poems progressively combined with western drum beats and interactive guitar tunes have left a mark on music history forever.

Saxophone and trumpet tunes, clear bass lines and smooth piano sounds are key features of jazz.
