International folkloric troupes to lead Folkloric Festival 2017

CAIRO – 25 October 2017: The second edition of the Folklore Festival that kicks off today will be hosting Aro-China folkloric troupe among other foreign dancing troupes on Sunday at Moez Street.

The dancing troupes will include a folkloric band from China and from different countries in Africa in efforts to break cultural barriers. Approximately 26 countries will participate in the festival this year according to a public statement.

Festival director and founder Soher Abdel Kader has stated that this year’s edition will feature 18 performing shows, 16 film screenings, heritage handcrafts, fine arts workshops, and animation workshops.

The participating countries include Ghana, Uganda, Togo, Cameron, Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Morocco, Columbia, and Argentine.

El Moez Street is not the only venue hosting the festival as some performances will be carried out at El Hanager Theater, El Azhar Garden, Cancer Hospital 57357, and an open commuting bus across the streets of Cairo.
