CAIRO – 23 October 2017: Medrar Contemporary Art will host the “Circle” exhibition by Egyptian artist Doaa Abd El Hady. The exhibition will run from October 29 to November 2.

“Circle” refers to the circle of depression and living within it, and how a person suffering from depression fights to get out of that circle instead of settling inside of it,” Abd El Hady told Egypt Today.

She explained that the paintings are somewhat fragmented parts from one story. Each story will be accompanied with music, writing and a video.

The “Circle” exhibition will include 18 paintings in ink, according to Abd El Hady, that depict all phases of depression based on personal experiences. “I focused on how a depressed person perceives the world,” Abd El Hady said.
