CAIRO – 22 October 2017: Iconic Egyptian artist Ahmed Morsi will hold an exhibition titled, “You Closed Your Eyes in Order to See the Unseen,” at Gypsum Gallery; which will run between October 27 and December 2.

Born in 1930; Morsi is not only a painter but also a photographer, translator and a critic.

Starting his early career by writing poetry alongside developing his talents in painting, Morsi released his first poem when he was 19; he also translated Costantine Kavafis’s.

His critical articles are considered a unique arts school on their own, as he combines unique impressive artistic language with deep analysis.

Having real passion for contemporary arts, his paintings follow the path of different contemporary arts schools such as Expressionism, Symbolism, and Surrealism. His paintings are exhibited in different state museums such as the Contemporary Art Museum.

Morsi was one of the early theatrical décor designers and theatrical stylists.
